Gor Mahia SG has urged fans to await official election date announcement dispelling rumors of premature ads.
Gor Mahia Secretary General Sam Ochola has clarified that members should await an official announcement regarding the date of the club's elections.
The renowned FKF Premier League champions last held elections in 2020, and with the four-year term nearing its end, another election is anticipated this year.

Ochola clarified that the club has not set a date for the elections and urged fans to wait until the club releases an official announcement.
“The Executive Committee has learnt of an advertisement doing rounds on social media to the extent that members are required to register for elections and send money through the Pay bill No. 350100,” he wrote.
Ochola assured fans that the official date for the elections will be communicated through proper channels once the club's Executive Committee finalizes the deliberations.
“This is to inform all members of Gor Mahia Football Club fraternity that a comprehensive roadmap shall be officially communicated once deliberations are complete and approved by the Executive Committee. We are equally looking forward to ensuring that only bonafide and authentic members will participate in an open democratic election,” he added.

However, Ochola did not indicate when the announcement regarding the elections would be released.
“Kindly ignore any other information which is not coming from the official club channels originating from the club secretariat,” he concluded.
In the previous elections held in August 2020, Ambrose Rachier went unopposed as the FKF Premier League champions Gor Mahia chairman.
Similarly, Ochola also went unopposed in his bid for the secretary-general position.

However, Rachier has recently revealed that he will not contest the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) presidency should elections be called today.
While confirming his intention to step down, Rachier did not specify the exact date of his departure.
“I will leave K’Ogalo. Many have been asking that question. I am not going to say when, but there is something that I need to let the fans know," he said in an interview with KTN.
Gor Mahia's success on the field continues as they were declared FKF Premier League champions and will represent the country in the CAF Champions League next season.
