Sevilla are taking advantage of their Nigerian stars led by Kelechi Iheanacho to rake in engagement on social media.

Sevilla are taking full advantage of their growing Nigerian contingent to drive up engagement on social media, with the LaLiga club revelling in the attention of their ever-growing Super Eagles fanbase.

The Andalusian outfit have made a concerted effort to strengthen their ties with Nigeria in recent months, culminating in the signings of Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidera Ejuke this summer.

Iheanacho, who joined Sevilla on a free transfer after leaving Leicester City, was welcomed in typically exuberant fashion, with the club excitedly announcing his arrival with the caption "Nnoo" - a way of welcoming someone in the player's tribe.

The club have since gone a step further, changing their bio on X.com to read "Senior man is here" - a clear nod to the striker's popular 'senior man' moniker.

Ejuke, who joined Sevilla from Royal Antwerp, has also caught the eye of his compatriots, with Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface engaging in a brilliant social media exchange with the club after an impressive training video was shared.

Boniface commented "LaLiga don buy job this season" before quickly deleting the post, highlighting the growing enthusiasm among Nigerian fans for Sevilla's Nigerian contingent.

The Spanish giants are clearly revelling in their newfound popularity among Nigerian supporters, and will be hoping their Nigerian stars can translate this off-field success into on-field performances as they look to challenge for top honours this season.
