And in as much as he has been linked to a return to the Kavumba-based outfit, Senkatuka says it has to be the right opportunity for him if he has to move.
“Yes, I am open to a new challenge, but that’s if the right opportunity presents itself,” Senkatuka told Pulse Sports.
The fast-paced forward, who managed ten goals, last season across all competitions adds that the inconsistencies last season have been addressed as he hopes for a better season.
“As a striker, I always want to hit double figures (about last season), and i hope i can do more consistently going forward."
“On a personal level, I have used my pre-season to sharpen my finishing speed and movement, which I think will make me a better player,” Senkatuka noted who hit a 50 league goal milestone at Soltilo Bright Stars last season.
He has previously featured for Hope Doves, Proline FC, and KCCA FC on the local scene, while his stint with Moroccan side Moghreb Tetouan didn’t yield him as much consistent performances.
Senkatuka also won the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup with the Uganda Cranes in Ethiopia and also featured at two CHAN editions (2018 and 2023) along with the 2019 COSAFA Cup in South Africa.
Midfielder Emmanuel Loki, who scored five goals last season, and winger Ibrahim Kasinde are the other two players out of contract with Soltilo Bright Stars and haven't renewed ahead of the new season.
