Shabana have ended their two-month wait for a new coach with the appointment of former Tusker and Gor Mahia legend Sammy Omollo ‘Pamzo’ as head coach.
Pamzo had been jobless ever since leaving Kenya Police in December 2022 following a poor start to the league season, but Shabana will hope he can be the man to take them out of their predicament and become a top side.
Shabana were set on signing Nicholas Muyoti as new head coach, but as earlier reported by Pulse Sports, Muyoti opted to stay put at City Stars having held talks with the club’s hierarchy.

FKFPL Muyoti makes dramatic U-turn on Shabana decision
Muyoti was set to leave high-flying City Stars for Shabana on Monday.
Omollo joined Police in 2022 after he, alongside expatriate coach Mark Harrison, were sent packing at Gor Mahia in January this year following a string of poor results.
The former Kenyan international would have been delighted to be entrusted with the coaching job at Kenya Police FC - a side that signaled their intent to fight with the big boys in the top flight following their promotion from the National Super League (NSL).
However, just nine months later, Omollo, who lifted the 2011 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) title with Tusker, was no more bringing his stay at the law enforcers to a very abrupt end.
Since then, he had been linked with moves to Bandari and even eyed the Ulinzi Stars job before the Soldiers opted to appoint Anthony ‘Modo’ Kimani during the off season.
