Shabana took the lead but could not maintain it as they held KCB to a one-all draw as Boniface Muchiri's hat-trick paved the way for Ulinzi Stars to end their three-game losing streak against Talanta.
2023 National Super League (NSL) winners Shabana will have to wait another week to get three points after they held title challengers KCB to a 1-1 draw in a league encounter that took place at the Raila Odinga Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Shabana drew first blood through Brian Michira, who thundered home a beauty after being set up well by Justine Omwendo to send the attending home spectators into raptures.
Their lead would only last for about 24 minutes before the Bankers restored parity through the red-hot Francis Kahiro, who thumped the ball into the back of the net with a neat header after KCB had sustained pressure, netting his sixth goal of the season in the process.

RUGBY Why Shujaa and Lionesses missed Dubai Invitational tournament ahead of Olympics
Shujaa withdrew from the Dubai Invitational Tournament on Thursday, casting doubt on their Olympic preparations due to undisclosed challenges.
Both teams went into the break level. In the second half, Shabana opted to make a change to try and get ahead in the game. Silas Shihemi came on in the 46th minute for Brian Magare, but the substitute’s spell on the pitch was cut short as in the 51st minute, he had to come off through injury for Mark Okolla.
Both teams then tried to test each others’ resolve, but in the end they all had to share the spoils, and it now means that after 13 games, KCB remain third on 23 points, while Shabana moved to 14th place on 11 points, but having played a game more.
