The Glamour Boys are still at the top of the championship after 25 matches.

Shabana FC grabbed a comfortable 4-0 victory over Coastal Heroes in a National Super League match played at Simeon Nyachae Stadium in Kisii on Sunday afternoon.

The Glamour Boys took control of the proceedings early on and they had an early chance following a superb header from Cornelius Juma which went wide.

As Heroes looked to calm the things down, Shabana pressing never allowed them to get comfortable, with Sammy Okoth’s men dominating early possession.

Skillful play from Isaac Otile in the 15th minute saw him have a shot  on goal, which unfortunately for the speedy winger went well wide off target.

Otile finally broke the deadlock in the 20th minute after a low cross from the left allowed him to tap the ball into the back of the net from close range.

Mustafah Oduor came to Shabana’s rescue at half an hour mark, as the shot stopper produced a fine-fingered save to keep out Abdulrahman Abdalla’s fine header.

At the other end, Dennis Kalama  made amends for his earlier miss as he pounced following a mistake by Ibrahim Athman and beat Dhadho Said to make it 2-0 to Shabana  in the 37th minute.

Shabana were leading 2-0 during the half-time break following an entertaining first-half.

It took just seven  minutes for the Glamour Boys to extend their lead after restart  as Absolom Aduda poked home at the back post to make it 3-0.

Coastal Heroes pressed Shabana and they played crosses into the box which were cleared away by the home side’s defence.

A minute after the hour mark Peter Ogechi beat Dhadho Said, this time he scored with a low curling effort to make it 4-0 to Shabana.

Coastal Heroes  looked dangerous every time they pushed forward and they nearly managed to pull one back after a long range effort by Ghalib Ali clipped outside of the post, which looked to give the visitors  some confidence.

Sammy Okoth then introduced veteran forward Vincent Nyabuto eight minutes later as they looked to extend their lead.

The momentum was with Heroes in the closing stages as they were hoping to find their way back into the encounter.

However, Shabana stood firm at the back with Oduor denying Jacob Mshiri in stoppage time with the hosts holding on for a memorable win.
