Ezekiel Omuri's meteoric rise at Shabana delights fans as the club seeks redemption in the FKF Premier League after 17 years.

Shabana winger Ezekiel Omuri has lauded the club's passionate fans and has committed his long term future to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side.

The talented young player, who joined Tore Bobe at the start of the season on a long-term contract from the Michael Olunga Foundation Academy, is making waves in the league.

Omuri made a memorable debut for Shabana in a match against Kenya Police, showcasing his remarkable skills and determination.

The 17-year-old's journey took another exciting turn when he started in the recent game against Nzoia Sugar, where his team emerged victorious with a scoreline of 2-1.

"The Shabana fans make you realize how big this club is; I want to stay here for a very long time. I feel at home, and this club is perfect for me," Omuri expressed his delight after the impressive victory over Nzoia.

The game against Nzoia took an early twist, as the opponents found themselves reduced to ten men within just two minutes when their captain, Harun Thomas, was shown a red card for a dangerous foul on Dennis Ongeri.

Vincent Nyabuto, a player who has been in and out of Shabana's starting lineup opened the scoring in the 13th minute setting the tone for an exciting match.

Just a minute after the restart, Brian Michira secured his first-ever top-flight goal, doubling Shabana's lead.

Although Victor Haki managed to pull one back for Nzoia in the 61st minute, Shabana maintained their composure and secured the win.

Shabana has faced significant challenges since returning to the top flight after 17 years in the lower leagues.

Currently placed 14th on the FKF Premier League table with 10 points from 11 games, they are determined to regain their former glory.

Shabana will face table leaders Posta Rangers at Kasarani Annex on 25th November.

This match will be a crucial test of their abilities and a chance for Omuri and his teammates to prove their worth against the top-ranked team in the league.
