Nigerians took to social media after the announcement of the nominees and dragged FIFA for not recognising Nnadozie's performance and excluding her name from the list.

Nigerians react to Nanadozie’s omission
Nigerians got angry with FIFA on social media after leaving out the Super Falcons goalkeeper from the FIFA Women's Goalkeeper Nominees.
Chiamaka Nnadozie was one of the outstanding goalkeepers at the just concluded Women’s World Cup.
She helped the Super Falcons during the group stage as they secured qualification to the Round of 16.

Former Super Falcons skipper Desire Oparanozie, who has retired from football, receives some kind words from Ashleigh Plumptre.
The Paris FC goalkeeper kept three clean sheets during the tournament and also saved a penalty against Canada in their opening game.
Despite her performance at the World Cup, her name was not included in the Women's Goalkeeper Nominees leaving Nigerians furious with the list.
Nigerians expressed their displeasure at FIFA on X formerly known as Twitter, with a fan saying, “ Shame on you.”
Another fan reacted by saying, “Racism 💀 Chiamaka.”
Another replied, “How isn’t Chiamaka Nnadozie here? This is just ridiculous!”
Another fan went ahead to abuse FIFA saying, “Una dey craze. Una comot Chiamaka.”
Another fan commented, “Chiamaka Nnadozie is better than 50% of the Gks on this list. ROBBED.”
Another supporter said, “Nigerians and Africans must boycott this vote for FIFA Women's Goalkeeper. Not even one of Africa's goalkeepers made the list after their sterling performance at the just concluded World Cup. Phewwwwwww!!!”
