FUFA Women Super League champions, She Corporate, are threatening to take legal action against Joan Nabirye for joining Kampala Queens in a breach of contract.

A free agent after leaving Kenyan side Vihiga Queens, the 24-year-old signed with the Nakawa-based outfit in late January, before she shockingly joined Kampala Queens early this month.

"Nabirye signed a contract with us, but this is Ugandan football and anything can happen," She Corporate head coach, Hassan Issa narrated to Pulse Sports.

"We got her release from Vihiga, and she put pen to paper on a six-month contract, and we then put her in our system."

Issa added, "There is evidence of everything, including her passport. We had submitted her name to the federation, and we were waiting for her ITC verification and the completion of the licensing process."

The coach noted that the club intends to take legal action against the player for the breach of contract.

“We are not taking this matter lightly, and our legal advisor and lawyer have already taken steps," Issa revealed.

"We have assembled every piece of proof there is to sue the player for breach of contract."

Nabirye joined the Queens of Soccer on a short-term contract until the end of the season and made her debut in Queens' 3-0 victory over Acholi Queens last weekend.

Hamza Lutalo's side is comfortably leading the 10-team FWSL log with 33 points and is through to the Round of 16 of the Uganda Cup.

Issa's She Corporate, on the other hand, is positioned fifth in the league with 14 points and will be in action again when they face Dynamic Jjeza on February 25th in the Uganda Cup.
