Spain's head coach Luis De La Fuente cautions his winger duo ahead of their match against France.

Spanish national team beach coach Luis De La Fuente has revealed the advice he gives his two young, electric wingers, Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams, ahead of the European Championship semi-final clash against France.

Nico and Yamal are two of the best performers at the tournament. Yamal leads in the competition in assists, while Nico Williams has possibly the display of the tournament against Georgia; however, De La Fuente demands more from them.

What Luis De La Fuente said

Speaking at a press conference, the 61-year-old coach was asked about his mercurial wingers, and he surprisingly suggested that he has been attempting to clip their wings, or at least slow them down.

“You can’t always play at 100 miles an hour, He said, per Football Espana. “Speed and power without control is useless. You have to master speed and control the game.

“They are both fantastic footballers, but sometimes you have to slow down. I tell Lamine that if he has three players on him, there’s an area of the pitch where we have superiority. We must get the ball there, not by dribbling, but with fast passing.”

Meanwhile, Barcelona have reportedly made Nico Williams their primary transfer target, as they seek to recreate the Basque winger’s partnership with Yamal.
