Batoto ba Mungu have their fate in their own hands but their slim advantage is giving Naivas FC great hope of securing Premier League promotion.
Sofapaka will be out to complete the job as they take on Naivas FC in the second leg of the FKF promotion-relegation playoff on Sunday.
Batoto ba Mungu carry a 1-0 advantage from the first leg after Jacob Onyango’s goal gave them a slim win and will need just a draw to retain their top-flight status.
However, it will not be easy against Naivas who created a number of chances but failed to utilise them.

Jacob Onyango reflects season after his goalscoring heroics help Sofapaka claim crucial playoff win
Jacob Onyango, who is linked with a move to Kenya Police to replace Tito Okello, scored the only goal as Sofapaka beat Naivas 1-0 in the first leg of the FKFPL relegation playoff last Saturday.
Naivas coach Collins ‘Korea’ Omondi has signaled his intentions to right those wrongs and Sofapaka must be at their best to get away with a result.
“To be honest, we created chances but did not score. We were also carried away in many moments. Situations where we should have taken shots, we kept on passing. We tried to be too pretty,” said Omondi.
“We have to find a way to become more efficient in training. The main problem has been failing to score goals. Creating chances but failing to score is worrying. For over seven games now.”
