Tottenham returned to winning ways after consecutive defeats with a 2-0 win over West Ham.
Goals from Emerson Royal and Son Heung-Min were enough for Tottenham to defeat West Ham 2-0 in a heated London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
How it happened
West Ham began the game in a livelier fashion and almost took the lead when Jarrod Bowen fired just wide from 20 yards out.
Tottenham struggled to get a foothold on the game and would feel aggrieved not to have been awarded a penalty when Thilo Kherer appeared to handle a cross from Richarlison.
Tottenham came out fired up in the second half with Harry Kane and Richarlison blowing good opportunities to give Spurs the lead.
The home side eventually broke the deadlock when Ben Davies surged down the left and rolled the ball across for Emerson Royal to fire a low shot into the corner.
Despite being left out of the starting lineup for the first time since September, Son Heung-min made sure of the three points for Spurs' just minutes after his introduction.
Player of the match - Ben Davies
Davies was given a rare opportunity at left wing-back and he responded with a fine display. He was effective on both ends of the field and delivered a fine assist to help open the scoring for Spurs.
