Arsenal and Manchester City are expected to engage in a tight race as the season enters its final quarter.
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has tipped Manchester City to beat Arsenal in the Premier League title race.
Mikel Arteta’s side is eight points ahead of Pep Guardiola’s Citizens, but Rooney does not see the Gunners end their 19-year wait for the league title.
"I think City will pip them to it," Rooney told CNN, as quoted by Metro.
"I think it’s going to be intriguing because Arsenal have not been in this position for a long time, and it can be a lot of pressure that goes with that.

Barcelona's quest to sign Ilkay Gundogan has taken a significant blow following his agent's statements
"Certainly when you start getting into the last seven or eight games of the season, that’s when the pressure starts. I’m really interested to see if they can sustain what they’ve been doing all season.
"I think Manchester City will be there. They’ve won the league the last few years, they’ve won titles, and they have a very experienced coach in winning titles in Guardiola, so I’m intrigued to see if Arsenal hold out or if City can use their experience from previous years and nick the title off them."
Although the former Everton forward would want to see Arsenal win the league, he wondered whether the Londoners have the mettle to withstand the pressure.
"I think because Arsenal have not been in this position for a long time, and it can be a lot of pressure to go with that," he continued.
"Once you start getting into the last 10 games of the season, that’s when the real pressure starts. And so I’m really interested to see if they can sustain what they’ve been doing all season."
