Ssebuufu started all the three games for Uganda the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) against DR Congo, Senegal and Ivory Coast, experience that didn't leave him the same.

Wakiso Giants FC forward Frank Ssebuufu still gets goosebumps each time he thinks about his next destination, the MLS next Pro with New York Redbulls II.

The deal, orchestrated by former Cranes skipper and current New York Redbulls II head coach Ibra Ssekagya, will see Ssebuufu join the development side in the big apple from March 2023.

The lanky forward shared with Pulse Sports that joining the professional ranks is a dream come true.

"I am overwhelmed with joy for such an opportunity to be a part of the NewYork Redbulls II," he told Pulse Sports.

"I am grateful to coach Ssekajja for believing in me, it means a lot, and when I move there, I will work my socks off because I want to change my family's life," he stated.

Ssebuufu started all the three games for Uganda the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) against DR Congo, Senegal and Ivory Coast, experience that didn't leave him the same.

"First, it is an honour to play for the Cranes, we did not have a good tournament, but I believe we played well."

Ssebuffu also picked lessons along the way: "I learnt a lot; we (in Uganda) need to have a winning mentality and discipline on and off the pitch.

"I also learnt a lot from other players that I play with the same position," he added.

Ssebuufu's journey started with Kiboga Young in 2018, he had a short stint in Masaka before signing for Lungujja Galaxy en route to Wakiso Giants FC.
