As the Rwanda Premier League season nears an end with three league games left, three clubs Kiyovu SC, Rayon Sports and APR FC, remain in contention to win the title.

Two of those clubs, Kiyovu SC and Rayon Sports FC, are home to four Ugandan players, Erisa Ssekisambu and Muzamiru Mutyaba, who turn out for Kiyovu SC.

Musa Esenu and Joackim Okera feature for Rayon Sports, with both teams separated by a point on the log.

Table leaders Kiyovu SC on 57 points after 27 games are followed by Rayon Sports on 56, while defending champions APR FC come third on 54 points, one behind Rayon Sports and three behind the table leaders.

"It's a very tight race, but we need all the remaining games; it is a must-win situation for us," Ssekisambu told Pulse Sports from his base in Kigali, Rwanda.

Kiyovu had the chance to stretch their lead at the top of the log but failed to win and played out a goalless draw against Mukura Victory, but they were not the only ones that failed to win.

APR also failed to win, playing out a 1-1 draw with AS Kigali leaving only Rayon Sports's 2-1 win over Espoir to throw a spanner into the works.

Joakim Ojera, on loan at Rayon Sports from URA FC, says the target is to win all the remaining games.

"We want to win all the games at hand so that we give ourselves a chance because anything can happen to the table leaders (Kiyovu), so Esenu and I are going to give everything," Ojera told Pulse Sports.
