Ssenfuma succeeded Charles Ayeikoh in 2021 and speculations of a new head coach coming in can only mount pressure on him to either improve in the second round or be axed.
Amidst the speculations of Muhammad Ssenfuma's sacking at Maroons FC, he has until now remained in his head coach capacity.
And the StarTimes Uganda Premier League's joint top scorer Fred Amaku believes he is the right man for the job.
Toward the end of January, rumours circulated that Ssenfuma had been fired and Sam Ssimbwa was set to succeed him but the latter has since been linked with a move to FUFA Big League leaders Kitara FC.
Ssenfuma was in charge as Maroons bowed out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the Round of 64 stage following a 2-1 loss to Kampala Regional League side Kisugu United FC earlier this week.
“I know that no job is permanent but I believe that coach Ssenfuma is the right man for the Maroons job,” Amaku told Pulse Sports after he was crowned the player of the month for December at Kati Kati Restaurant on Friday evening.
“Yes we did not finish the first round the right way but he has always put up much emphasis to ensure that we perform well.”
“Rumours are rumours and you may not know where they are generated from because everyone at the club including the top administrators are wondering where such is coming from.”
Amaku added: “We have been with him from the Big League where he helped us to get promoted and the most important thing is that the players are happy with him and we shall try our best to fight together with him in the second round.”
