Kitara lead the FUFA Big League table with 48 points but NEC, Mbarara City and Police are pushing harder for the three promotion slots.

Coach Sam Ssimbwa has made the final rallying call for fans to push Kitara through the crucial stage in the Startimes FUFA Big League.

Kitara lead the table with 48 points but NEC, Mbarara City and Police are pushing harder for the three promotion slots.

Ssimbwa is urging the fans to come and drum support for the team’s remaining home games as he finds a way to scheme for some points on the road.

Kitara and all the other competitors have been tough at home but toothless when on their travels; the reason the coach is asking for backup is to ensure he gets the maximum points at home.

“If all fans come behind us, we shall win our remaining matches at home and look for some points away,” Ssimbwa asked.

“We need them to come and help us to push for the last two games and then we try to win one or two away. We’re not the only ones struggling on away matches, our opponents aren’t winning as well and that’s why we’re leading the table,” the coach added.

Kitara has remained with five games, two (Soroti City and Kaaro Karungi) at home. The others are away to Luweero United, Adjumani and Kyetume.
