Sam Ssimbwa has warned Kitara against complacency after that 1-0 away win at NEC that propelled them three points clear at the top of the Startimes FUFA Big League on Thursday.
Ramadhan scored the late penalty that ensured Kitara picked their second win on the road and first since Ssimbwa’s arrival.
The result took them to 40 points, two and three clear of Police and Mbarara City in second and third place.
“It’s a morale-boosting one [but] we have to be more determined because there is still a long way to go for sure,” Ssimbwa said.
“It is important that we stay focused and keep our feet on the ground. We cannot be overexcited after this win but we hope it turns into a trend,” the coach emphasised.
The Royals host Kataka next Thursday before traveling to Yumbe to tussle Calvary in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
