Whatever Ibrahim 'Baba' Kasule touches at the moment, it turns gold; the star was at it yet again with his side New York Red Bulls II earlier on Monday.

The former Wakiso Giants FC star scored one and assisted another, as his side lost 3-2 to arch-nemesis New York City II at the MSU Soccer Park.

After trailing 3-0 with 20 minutes left on the clock, Kasule got into his usual groove before sumptuously providing a 79th minute assist to Ricardo Gorday for their first.

Two minutes later, the 19 year-old was at his absolute best as he calmly and purposely slotted past the on-rushing goalkeeper to make it two for his side.

Kasule and his side could however not mount a late fightback, eventually suffering an agonizing defeat on home turf.

The hugely talented playmaker has now managed 11 goal involvements in just 15 matches since joining New York Red Bulls II in March.

He has managed seven strikes and four assists, but all the goals have come in the past eight games, a clear statement of excellence.

Only last week, Kasule was promoted to the senior team; the New York Red Bulls and made the bench on Saturday as they beat New England Revolution 2-1.

Meanwhile, New York Red Bulls II stayed put in the third place, after accumulating 30 points in 17 matches in the Northeast Division of the MLS Next Pro League.

Kasule left Wakiso Giants for the US-based outfit, having five goals plus six assists in the first round of the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League.
