Umar Kasumba scored with his first touch of the game as his Bandari side shared spoils with Wazito in the Kenya Premier League in Paul Nkata’s debut in Muhorony, Western Kenya.

The coach was recently contracted to save Wazito from the chop.

Kasumba fired in the first minute to give the coastal Kenya side the lead. Wazito retaliated and fired back a minute through Collins Neto.

Wazito went pushed harder. Their efforts yielded in the 7th minute when they earned a penalty which Neto calmly converted.

William Wadri scored the equaliser shortly before half-time to send the game 2-2 into the break.

Wazito earned a late chance to carry the day for Nkata through a penalty but their effort was saved.

Bandari remains 9th on the table with 21 points, 13 behind leaders Gor Mahia as Nkata’s side remains rooted in the relegation zone with only ten points from 14 games.

Wazito becomes Nkata’s 7th team in the Kenya Premier League after coaching es Nairobi City Stars, Tusker, Bandari, Kakamega Homeboyz and Muhoroni Youth.
