A player remembered for a FIFA dispute with Gor Mahia over unpaid dues has signed a three-year deal with AS Vita.
Democratic Republic of Congo giants AS Vita have secured the services of Burundian international Jules Ulimwengu on a three-year contract.
Ulimwengu, known for his previous contentious departure from recond FKF Premier League champions, Grwhich involved a FIFA dispute has now moved to the Congolese club from Zambian team Green Eagles FC.

The record Kenyan champions are returning to continental competitions after missing last season due to a revoked Club Licensing Certificate.
Ulimwengu's career has been notable for its highs and lows across several African clubs including a tumultuous stint at Gor Mahia, where he famously took the club to FIFA over unpaid dues.
The 25-year-old forward joins AS Vita hoping to rejuvenate his career and replicate his earlier successes.
"Jules Ulimwengu, the Burundian international, is now a Black Dolphin. He has signed a three-season contract covering 2024 to 2027. At 25 years old, Ulimwengu plays as a right winger. He joins from Green Eagles FC," the club statement announced.

Reflecting on his move, Ulimwengu expressed enthusiasm about his new chapter.
"I am thrilled to join AS Vita, a club with such a rich history and passionate fanbase. My goal is to contribute to the team's success and continue developing as a player. I am looking forward to this new challenge and hope to achieve great things here," said Ulimwengu.
The striker’s journey through African football has been diverse.
Before his time in Zambia and Kenya Ulimwengu played for Rwandan giants Rayon Sports where he initially caught the eye of major clubs with his goal-scoring prowess.
His first season at Gor Mahia was particularly impressive netting nine league goals.
However, his second season saw a drastic drop in form with only one goal scored before he decided to leave upon his contract expiration.
