Gaspo Women and Vihiga Queens are currently the joint top sides in the league with 37 points apiece.
Thika Queens head coach Fred Majani seems to be giving up on the goal of winning the 2022-2023 Football Kenya Federation Women’s Premier League title.
When the league started, Queens showed some promising signs that they would cause problems for the other top flight teams.

With just six fixtures pending until the season closes, the contest will go down to the wire.
Majani had made it clear that they were gunning for top honors; however, the team has lost grip on the title race.
From 16 games played so far, Queens are nowhere among the title contenders as they have dropped to position six with 27 points.
Majani admitted ahead of their Sunday clash against Wadadia that the league title is far from their reach.

SDT Chairman John Ohaga also ruled that branch elections should be held first.
“With six matches remaining and the caliber of my squad, I must admit it will be difficult for us to fight for the league title. We have no choice but to go back to the drawing board for the 2023-2024 season,” Majani told reporters.
Gaspo Women are at joint top of the FKFWPL table with Vihiga Queens at 37 points, with a goal difference of four separating the two sides.
Majani believes injuries and failure to score goals was the main reason why they dropped but maintains they will give a good showing until the end of the season, starting with the Wadadia game.

Nakuru City Queens lay in wait on Sunday, March 5 at the Alaskan Grounds.
“Losing Wendy Atieno to injury and Juliet Andibo to suspension was a big blow for me. I also have other key injuries in the team, and I don’t know how I will end the league for sure,” Majani noted.
Queens will host Wadadia at Stima Club in Ruaraka on Sunday, with the kick-off set for 10:00 am.
