Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi has provided some explanation on why he left swapped Everton for Fulham in the summer window.
Iwobi completed a deadline day transfer from Goodison Park to join compatriot Calvin Bassey at Craven Cottage in a surprise switch.

The transfer cost Fulham in excess of 22 million pounds to prise the talented Nigerian playmaker away from the Toffees.
Iwobi to Fulham
The 26-year-old has since put pen to paper on a five-year contract that will see him defend the Fulham badge until the summer of 2028.
With the move to Fulham, the Nigeria international was reunited with the manager Marco Silva, the man who lured him from the Emirates to Everton.
Iwobi spoke to the Fulham media where he outlined his reasons for joining the club and his relationship with new boss Silva.
“Second time is a charm i guess,” Iwobi told the club’s media during an interview.
“But he spoke to me and spoke about the ambitions of the club and where he wants to go.”
“So, i am on board and hoping i can bring something to the club,” he added.
