The match began with both teams making early mistakes, but it wasn't long before the home side found their rhythm. Enugu Rangers quickly settled into a groove, displaying impressive fluidity in midfield with superstars Chinemerem Ugwueze and Kazeem Ogunleye dictating things in the middle third alongside Isaac Saviour and Ejike Ugochukwu.

The breakthrough came in the 27th minute when Saviour set up Frank Uwumiro, who made no mistake in finding the back of the net. Just three minutes later, Super Eagles defender Kenneth Igboke doubled the lead with a powerful shot from the edge of the box, sending the home fans into a frenzy.

On the stroke of halftime, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi added a third goal for the Rangers after capitalising on a deflected shot from a corner kick.

In the second half, Rangers maintained control of the game, although an effort from Ogunleye was ruled out for offside just three minutes after the restart.

The 'Flying Antelopes' fortified their defence to prevent any further goals as they cruised to a comfortable victory.

With this win, Enugu Rangers now sit third in the NPFL standings with 23 points, trailing leaders Remo Stars and Rivers United, both on 26 points.

The team is gearing up for their next challenge—a highly anticipated 'Oriental Derby' against fierce rivals Enyimba F.C., scheduled for December 3, 2024.

This commanding performance not only boosts the Rangers' confidence but also serves as a reminder of their capabilities as they continue to pursue success in this season's league campaign.
