Adams the Golden Boot frontrunner
The 23-year-old has served a stellar performance which has not only caught the attention of football lovers but also seen him listed amongst Europe’s elites.
Adams, who recently joined Montpellier, has put up good numbers at his new Ligue 1 side, with seven goals in the Ligue 1.
His contribution has taken his tally to 22 goals across all competitions, putting him in the coveted race with some of Europe’s best.
According to a post from the BBC, Akor currently sits second on the list, just a goal behind Amahl Pellegrino, the man from Bodo/Glimt, who has netted 23 goals.
Bayern Munich’s Kane is third on the list, with his 17 goals for the German champions. The England skipper is followed by another African, Serhou Guirassy, the Stuggart man, who is on fire and has netted 15 goals for his club.
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and PSG’s Kylian Mbappe complete the impressive list, with 13 goals apiece for their respective clubs.
As Akors maintains his shine, the call for his potential inclusion in the Nigerian national team will continue to intensify.
