Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo is set to reject a move to Premier League side Tottenham in favour of Ligue 1 club Monaco as he prepares for an exit from his current club.
Adarabioyo set to join Monaco
Adarabioyo, who is still eligible to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria despite representing England at the youth level is set for an exit from mid-table Premier League side Fulham and has had his pick of suitors over the summer.
The 25-year-old centre-back has been strongly linked with a move to either Monaco or Tottenham but has also been touted as a target for Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli, who are also in the market for a defender this summer.
Adarabioyo rejects Tottenham for Monaco switch
With the transfer window nearing its halfway stage, Adarabioyo has reportedly made his choice of clubs and is set for a journey out of England for the first time in his career.
According to L’Équipe and Foot Mercato, Adarabioyo is set to complete a move to Monaco, with the Principality club on the verge of agreeing to a deal with Fulham having already sorted out personal terms with the player.
The Manchester City Academy graduate has previously played for West Brom and Blackburn on loan from the Cityzens, with Fulham being his first permanent senior side.
He has also played for England at U16, U17, U18, and U19 levels, but has also expressed a willingness to play for the Super Eagles in the past, and could be a valuable addition to the team to replace the ageing legs at centre-back.
