Victor Boniface is set to be the first Nigerian after Paul Onuachu to win the Belgian Pro League Player of the Season award.
It has been a decent season for Boniface helping his team reach the quarter finals and a second place finish in the Belgian Pro League.
The 22-year-old had unforgettable moments in the Europa League having most goals and assists combined.
The former U20 Nigerian international was nominated for the ebony Boot award - an accolade given to the best African player in the Jupiler Lig.
The yet-to-be-capped Super Eagles star was also nominated for the player of the season in the Belgium first division.
If Boniface does leave Union SG in the summer, he will be making an appearance in the elite Champions League competition for next season.
Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro hinted that new names will be included in the list of players that will execute the AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone on June 18, in Monrovia, Liberia.
