The Nigerian striker is ready to take the Premier League by storm in the 2024/25 season
Nigeria's Taiwo Awoniyi has been identified as Nottingham Forest's leading goal threat for the upcoming 2024/25 Premier League season.
Taiwo Awoniyi predicted to lead Nottingham Forest's goalscoring
Awoniyi, has established himself as a key player for Forest after two seasons with the club and is billed to be central to the team's offensive efforts yet again in the new season.
A supercomputer analysis has projected that the Super Eagles star will be Nottingham Forest's top scorer in the 2024/25 season, with the striker expected to find the back of the net 11 times during the campaign.
The Nigeria international’s best tally with Nottingham Forest is 10 goals in his debut season, where he reached a decade of goals in 26 games.
An injury-blighted second season left Awoniyi with only six goals in 20 matches, but the Nigerian striker is now expected to almost double that number in the new campaign.
His anticipated goal tally places him as one of the more reliable forwards in the league, despite Nottingham Forest's overall team struggles, and the Super Eagles star's form will be crucial as The Tricky Tees look to maintain their Premier League status for another season.
Premier League's top scorers predicted
While Awoniyi is expected to shine for Nottingham Forest, the supercomputer has also forecasted the top goal scorers across the Premier League.
Erling Haaland of Manchester City is tipped to dominate once again, with the Norwegian striker predicted to score 32 goals, securing his third consecutive Golden Boot.
Liverpool's Mohamed Salah is predicted to reach up to 25 goals, while Chelsea star Cole Palmer is anticipated to score 21 goals.
Other notable mentions include Marcus Rashford for Manchester United, Alexander Isak for Newcastle, and Ollie Watkins for Aston Villa, all expected to have strong campaigns.
