1. He scored their first goal in topflight football after 23 years

Awoniyi then scored the Trick Tree’s first goal in their return to the Premier League in the 1-0 win over West Ham United at the City Ground. It was historic feat for the club.

Coming into the game with four goals in his last two matches, the Super Eagles striker continued from where he stopped as he netted the winner against the Gunners.
The goal did not only serve as the winning goal but more importantly a strike that would keep his team in the Premier League next season as well as getting more money for staying up the division.
3. He is their joint topscorer
With the way things are going, Awoniyi and Brenan Johnson who both have ten goals each will finish as the club’s topscorers.
