Injury hampering Awoniyi's development?
Awoniyi has imposed himself as a key player for Nottingham Forest since joining from Union Berlin last season.
However, his development has been hampered by recurring injuries. Reports suggest he could be out until April, meaning he has already missed 28 Premier League matches since arriving at the club.
Awoniyi's last appearance for Nigeria came on November 16th, 2023, during a World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.
The striker will now have to focus on recovering from his latest injury and hope to return to action soon.
