KCB are looking to stay in touch with log leaders Gor Mahia.
FC Talanta hopes to cause a major upset in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) when they face third-placed KCB FC at the Kasarani Annex on Wednesday.
Talanta have never beaten the Bankers since their debut in the elite league a season ago.
In the first leg, KCB beat them 2-1, and in the previous season, the two teams drew home and away matches in the league.
Talanta are currently 14th on the league table with 17 points after 17 matches, while KCB are third with 33 points after the same number of matches.
Ken Kenyatta’s men have had mixed results in the league of late; they have taken five points from the last 15 available but they showed strong winning form by outclassing Vihiga Bullets 2-1 at home on Wednesday 1 March.
KCB will look to chase a key win against Talanta as they aim to close their gap to the top of the league table, which is currently at four points.
The Bankers succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to AFC Leopards at home on Sunday 26 February which halted their nine-match unbeaten run.
Talanta will look to see Vincent Owino in fine form, especially on set pieces. At the same time, KCB coach Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno will hope James Mazembe and Kennedy Owino can inspire his men upfront and secure maximum points.
Another Wednesday afternoon game will see Vihiga Bullets face Posta Rangers at the Bukhungu Stadium.
Bullets suffered a tenth straight loss when they were beaten 2-1 by Talanta. The Vihiga-based side have claimed just four points from 16 matches so far this season.
In Nairobi, Ulinzi Stars will seek their eighth win of the season when they welcome Kakamega Homeboyz at the Ulinzi Sports Complex. In contrast, Police FC will welcome Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Annex.
