After exiting English side Wombwell Town FC, versatile midfielder Gadhafi Kiwanuka has opened doors for a possible return to Uganda, should a worthy deal get availed.

While he's had multiple offers in the UK lower leagues, Kiwanuka has prioritized a return to his native. He reportedly will sign in England, only if options in Uganda have been exhausted.

He feels there's business yet to be accomplished in Uganda, having left for the United Kingdom, nearly a decade ago.

Last season at Wombwell, the 27-year-old made 28 appearances in the Northern Counties East League One, scoring five goals, and assisting on four occasions.

Previously, Kiwanuka has featured for Athersely FC in England, Kampala Junior Team (KJT), Rwenshama and KCCA FC in the Uganda Premier League. With the latter, he won two league championships.

Meanwhile, on the Uganda National Senior team, the Cranes, Kiwanuka has received two summons, both of which came under former head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic. He also played for the national Under-23s team in 2015.
