The shot-stopper beat the odds to become the first goalkeeper to win it since the Awards' birth last season.
Goalkeeper Simon Tamale's February and March excellence has been rewarded with a Pilsner Player of the Month award on Thursday at the Kati Kati Restaurant.
The shot-stopper beat the odds to become the first goalkeeper to win it since the Awards' birth last season.
He defeated the likes of Express FC's forward Allan Kayiwa and Arua Hill SC youngster Innocent Media to the coveted award.
"I would never achieve this without the efforts of my teammates," a visibly jolly Tamale said to the media.
"It has been a lot of hard work, dedication and belief to reach this milestone, and it motivates me to go even harder."
In being recognised as the best for the previous two months, Tamale walked home with a plaque and cash worth One million.
He featured in four matches over two months and kept three clean sheets whilst conceding just one goal in the process.
Tamale didn't concede against Busoga United (1-0), Arua Hill SC (2-0) and his team's barren stalemate with Soltilo Bright Stars FC. He only leaked once in a 2-1 win at Wakiso Giants FC.
Maroons occupy sixth with 27 goals in 20 matches and will be a way to Blacks Power FC on April 18 in their next game.
