The Tanzania Premier League has elevated its status by recognizing the stadium managers during the prestigious monthly NBC Premier League awards.

This move sets the Tanzanian Premier League apart from other leagues worldwide, demonstrating its commitment to excellence.

In the month of August, Young Africans head coach Angel Miguel Gamondi and winger Max Nzengeli, both from the esteemed 'Tiimu ya Wanainchi,' were honored as the Coach and Player of the Month, respectively. Their exceptional contributions to the league have not gone unnoticed.

Additionally, the stadium manager of the month award was bestowed upon Godfrey Komba from Manungu Stadium in Morogoro, the home ground of the esteemed top-flight side, Mutibwa Sugar FC.

This accolade recognizes Mr. Komba's commendable efforts in maintaining the pitch, ensuring security during matches, and effectively managing the crowd.

Each of these deserving winners receives a cash prize of Tshs 1M, approximately Ugx 1.4m, as a token of appreciation for their outstanding contributions.

It is worth noting that the Tanzania Premier League is one of the most lucrative leagues in Africa.

In the 2021/22 season, Azam TV, a prominent Tanzanian pay TV outlet, inked a monumental 10-year broadcast deal with the Tanzania Premier League, valued at Tsh 225.6b (approximately Ugx 346b).

As part of this agreement, every club stands to receive up to Tshs 500m (about 739m).

Furthermore, in August 2023, the National Bank of Commerce secured the naming rights for the league with a substantial investment of Tshs 32b (approximately Ugx 47.2b) over a five-year period.

Lastly, the winner of the prestigious NBC Premier League will proudly claim a staggering cash prize of Tshs 500m (about Ugx 765m).

This grand reward serves as a testament to the league's commitment to recognizing and rewarding excellence on and off the field.
