Tanzanian giants Simba SC are not leaving anything to chance ahead of the new season following their latest milestone

Simba on Friday announced a Tshs2 billion (about UGX3B) kit sponsorship with Sandaland, a leading retail and manufacturing clothing brand, for the provision of the club kits ahead of the new season.

The two-year deal will see Sandaland provide Msimbazi with training kits, match days jerseys and travel apparel.

The partnership aims to enhance the club's overall image with quality branded equipment.

Simba SC CEO Imani Kajula welcomed the partnership, which he says is an improved deal from the previous one with VunjaBei.

"At first, we were getting Tsh 400 million a year from jerseys. Vunja Bei came in and gave us One billion a year, so Sandaland giving us 2 billion a year as kit sponsors is great," Kajula noted.

The top clubs in Tanzania usually partner with leading clothes brands to manufacture and sell merchandise on behalf of the club.

Simba, who confirmed the departure of four technical team members, including former Simba Queen's head coach Charles Ayiekoh is already restructuring ahead of the new season.

Having gone two straight seasons without silverware, Msimbazi is targeting to dethrone rivals Young Africans, who have claimed a back-to-back league double.

The Reds are expected to bolster their squad by making significant signings ahead of the new season.
