The groundbreaking partnership will see TECNO become the official smartphone sponsor for the AFCO2023 in Cote d’Ivoire and also strengthen the connection between both brands and their respective passion for football across the continent.

TECNO sponsors CAF's AFCON
The partnership was announced on Tuesday during a media parley between TECNO, the media, technology enthusiasts and other football lovers in Lagos.
Your premium sports platform, Pulse Sports Nigeria, was also in attendance as TECNO unveiled the strategic idea behind the relationship with CAF and the intention to celebrate African passion, culture and the unity that football fosters.
“Our global innovative technology brand, TECNO, announces the official partnership with CAF as the exclusive smartphone sponsor for the Cote d’Ivoire AFCON2023,” TECNO stated in a statement.
“The partnership between TECNO and CAF was officially sealed during a momentous ceremony held in Singapore witnessed by esteemed attendees including TECNO general manager, Jack Guo and CAF general secretary, Veron Mosengo-Omba. This collaboration marks the beginning of a thrilling new chapter for both parties.”
Speaking further, TECNO added that the brand is guided by its essence and mantra, “Stop at Nothing” which aligns with their commitment to not only CAF’s elite competition, AFCON but to also play a pivotal role in advancing the growth and development of football in the continent while increasing their brand awareness and presence.
The technology company described the football tournament as a celebration of unity, passion, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
TECNO announces giveaways
Meanwhile, to further show their commitment to the partnership, TECNO confirmed plans for a giveaway that will see some football fans enjoy an all-expense paid trip to watch the games in the Ivory Coast.
The plan for the giveaways was revealed during the unveiling of TECNO’s latest gadget, the Spark 20 series during the well-attended event.
Also, two members of the media, including Pulse Nigeria’s Benjamin Onwe, were rewarded with all-expense paid trip tickets to watch the AFCON2023 next year.
The 2023 AFCON will kick off on January 13, 2024, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
