Victor Boniface was a spectator for 90 minutes in the classic game between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.

Bayer Leverkusen endured a frustrating evening as they played to a goalless draw against Bayern Munich in a crucial Bundesliga clash on Saturday. 

The match at the BayArena saw Victor Boniface remain an unused substitute, while Nathan Tella was given the nod to start, reflecting a tactical decision that ultimately did not yield the desired results for the hosts.

Despite dominating possession and creating several opportunities, Leverkusen failed to convert their chances into goals. 

The team hit the woodwork twice in the first half, with Tella missing a sitter, but could not find the breakthrough against a Bayern side that managed no shots on target throughout the match. 

Victor Boniface is back from his injury.

The draw leaves Leverkusen still eight points behind Bayern in the title race, complicating their aspirations for another championship run.

Boniface, who also watched from the sidelines as Tella previously scored a stunning winner against Bayern in their earlier cup meeting this season, found himself watching this time from the bench for the entirety of this match.
