With the FA Cup in one week, Ten Hag has given an update on the fitness of Antony and Luke Shaw after both players were substituted with injuries against Chelsea
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has issued an update on the injuries suffered by forward Antony and defender Luke Shaw during their 4-1 thrashing of Chelsea in the Premier League.
Red Devils lose key players during Chelsea win
Manchester United confirmed their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League group stage with one game to go after beating Chelsea 4-1 at Old Trafford, but they suffered two major blows ahead of their FA Cup final in one week.
The Red Devils will play their crosstown rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final, but the participation of stars Antony and Shaw has been thrown into doubt after both were forced off with injuries against Chelsea.
Antony was withdrawn before the half-hour mark of the Chelsea game, while Shaw was withdrawn at the break.

Ten Hag has spoken about both players, stating that while he feared the gravity of Antony’s injury while he was more hopeful that Shaw could quickly recover.

Speaking after the match, the Dutch manager said, "It's difficult always to say, straight after the game, but, yeah, Antony is serious.
“Luke Shaw, we have to see. I don't think it's too bad but we have to wait 24 hours. We'll have a diagnosis and we will know more."
Ten Hag spoke more about the Brazilian’s injury, noting, “It’s difficult to say. Let’s wait for 24 hours and then we’ll know more.
"I don’t know [about Antony]. Everyone has seen he came off. I can tell you it is serious but we have to wait a minimum [of] 24 hours, then we know probably more about the status of the injury."
Manchester United hope that they will have a full complement of players when they play Manchester City in the Premier League as they look to stop the Cityzens from equalling thei historic treble from 1999.
