The defenders were injured during the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final duel at Old Trafford.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has issued injury updates on Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.
The United’s first-choice centre-backs did not finish the match against Sevilla at Old Trafford, and their injuries add to the list of sidelined players for Ten Hag.
Varane was replaced at halftime, while Martinez was later carried off with what appeared to be a serious injury.
The Red Devils were leading 2-0, but just after the Spanish side had equalized, Martinez went down unopposed.
While holding his right foot, the defender's Argentine compatriots Marcos Acuna and Gonzalo Montiel lifted him off as he left the pitch. The home side had to face their European rivals with 10 men as they had made all five of the substitutions.
"We have seen Licha Martinez drop out after a moment," Ten Hag said. "There was no opponent involved, so it doesn't look that great, so we have to wait.

FOOTBALL Manchester United suffer another massive injury blow ahead of Sevilla duel
The Red Devils will host the LaLiga side for a Europa League showdown at Old Trafford.
"I can't say in this moment [what it is], the same as Rapha. I think it's for after the game, but that injury, he [has] complained [about] over the last couple of weeks, and we have to see how it is now."
On dealing with injuries, Ten Hag is confident the available players will capably fill the voids.
"We have very good replacements. Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Luke Shaw. We have the players who can replace them. But of course, it is a miss," he added.
"We are competing in three competitions, and then you need the squad. And if Martinez and Varane are not available on Sunday, then others have to do it. And as we saw on Saturday, Harry Maguire had a good game. And tonight [Thursday], he came in, and I think he played a very good game."

The in-form forward will be sidelined after he picked up a late injury in the last match.
Before the injury, Varane was impressive in the first half as he won 100 percent of his duels and completed 84 percent of his passes while also clearing one Sevilla chance off the line.
