The Danish midfielder made quick progress and returned to training with the first team.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed Luke Shaw will not be available for their Premier League match against Everton on Saturday.
The fullback was withdrawn during United’s midweek match against Brentford – which they won by a 1-0 margin - and has consequently been ruled out.
"Luke Shaw is not available for tomorrow, and we have to see how we progress in the coming week," Ten Hag said in his pre-match presser.
On a positive note, Christian Eriksen is set to make it into the matchday squad for the first time since January.

"The good news is Christian Eriksen is back in training, and he will be back in the squad tomorrow," Ten Hag added.
"I think it was not for nothing, I was so angry about that bad tackle [by Andy Carroll] and he [Eriksen] was away. We first feared we would lose him for the whole season, but he worked really well, and the medical department did very well.
"He's returning to the squad and is available for the final stages of the season, so we are very pleased with that. It was a really bad tackle and a really bad injury, it's settled and now we are very happy with that."
