The Dutchman has disclosed what could ensue for the Englishman and star attacking midfielder in 2024-25.
Manchester United are considering deploying Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes as makeshift strikers due to a shortage of options up front.
The Red Devils are facing a striker crisis ahead of the new Premier League season, with Rasmus Hojlund ruled out with a hamstring injury and the club's recent signing, Joshua Zirkzee, only returning to training and currently not match fit.

What Ten Hag said about Sancho and Fernandes
Manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Sancho, who struggled for form last season, could be deployed as a false nine and the Dutch manager is also considering using Fernandes in a more advanced role, despite the midfielder's preferred position.
“That is what we can do if we don’t have the availability of Rasmus,” said Ten Hag when asked about Sancho and Fernandes playing as strikers.
“Of course, Joshua Zirkzee is coming in. He has started training. But he is not so long in training so it will take time and he has to adjust to English football and our way of playing.
“Jadon can of course play as a striker. He can also play in wide areas but it could be he is a good option. I think Marcus has done it before, he can do it and it is definitely an option.
"I think he is more productive from the left inside when he is coming inside, so when he can arrive there he is most effective.
“But we also have Bruno Fernandes as a striker as well.”
