A report has revealed a total of 483 players featured in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League in the 2022/23 season.
About 465 of them were fielded for their respective teams throughout the season, with UPDF (36) using the highest number.
Champions Vipers Sports Club had 33 players, all of who featured at least in a game.
There were 52 goalkeepers, Busoga United with five fielding the biggest number in that department.
146 played in defence, 165 were involved in the midfield, and 120 strikers were used throughout the season.
Foreign legion

They include goalkeepers Fabien Mutombora (Burundi) and Alfred Mudekereza from Burundi and DR Congo, respectively.
Others were Nigerian Abubakar Lawal, Nzau Miguel Lutumba (Angola) and the Congolese quartet of Garcia Mpongo, Darcy Mbaka, Olivier Osomba and Rodriguez Shamamba.
League runners-up KCCA Fc and SC Villa had one in Congolese striker Tshisungu Kankonde and Burundian midfielder Pistis Barenge, Arua Hill had Rashid Toha, while BUL FC had Ivan Wani; the latter two converted.
Express had South Sudan defender Joseph Dhata in their ranks.
