Kitara have set the trend of revealing their match-day gate collections, a thing that has been taken up by NEC FC, as well.

Uganda Premier League newbies Kitara assumed the top spot after their 1-0 victory over Wakiso Giants FC at the Masindi Stadium on Tuesday.

Denis Omedi scored the lone goal for the Royals in front of the team's faithful to move to 39 points, one ahead of runners-up BUL FC.

The win also came with Ugx 12,800,000 from the gate collections, funds which "will be used in supporting the club activities as planned in our 2023/24 budget."

Kitara have set the trend of revealing their match-day gate collections, a thing that has been taken up by NEC FC, as well.

The club has won their supporters' trust and loyalty and the latter have not disappointed in their on and off-field support.

Kitara has also taken up initiatives to ensure road safety for their fans during home and away matches.

"We appreciate all our fans and road users for observing the traffic rules and guidelines before and after the match."

Meanwhile, the club returns to action on March 3 in another home bout, this time against SC Villa in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
