Fernandez completed his switch from Benfica to Chelsea in January 2023 for a premier league record, 429 billion, after an impressive world cup showing for Argentina as he eventually lifted the trophy.

The 21-year-old combative midfielder is hailed as one of the game's future stars, and that is why the West London club were confident enough to pay his release clause and bring him to England, and he has started every premier league game since his arrival.

Declan Rice (Arsenal)- Shs491 billion

England international and former West Ham United midfielder Rice recently completed his move from West Ham United to join Champions League-bound Arsenal despite interest from Manchester City.

The 25-year-old becomes Arsenal's most expensive signing ever, overtaking Nicholas Pepe, and joins the club with a wealth of experience, having competed at major tournaments like the World Cup and Euros as well as leading the former side to the UEFA Conference League title at the end of last season.

Grealish initially became the first 100m pounds player in the premier league after moving from Aston Villa to Manchester City in the summer of 2021.

Although scrutiny surrounding his deal with Manchester City, the England international has gone on to make 89 appearances for his club, scoring 11 goals and providing 15 assists.

In his two seasons at the club, he has also won the premier league twice, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League.

Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) - Shs453 billion

Belgian international Romelu Lukaku completed his switch from Inter Milan to Chelsea in the summer of 2021 with a lot of enthusiasm surrounding his transfer back to the club where it all began for him in England.

Unfortunately for the striker, his time in West London was a nightmare as he only lasted one season at the club before being shipped back to his former club on loan.

During his combined spells at the club, he scored 15 goals and provided three assists in 59 appearances for the Blues, as it seems highly unlikely that he will return to the club.

Paul Pogba (Manchester United)- Shs435 billion

In the summer of 2016, Manchester United forked out Shs—435 billion to Juventus, making Paul Pogba the most expensive footballer at the time.

The World Cup-winning midfielder joined the Red Devils and was expected to take them to the next level alongside then-manager Jose Mourinho.

He left United in 2022 to rejoin Juventus on a free transfer, having spent seven years at the club playing 233 times while scoring 39 goals and providing 51 assists.
