Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed people are hoping for Manchester City's failure.
Manchester City secured their fifth trophy of 2023 by winning the Club World Cup last weekend.
In a dominating performance, City defeated Fluminense 4-0, adding this title to their collection alongside the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and European Super Cup.
No English football club has ever been so dominant over the course of a single season.
However, Guardiola won six trophies when he managed Barcelona in 2009.
Guardiola on Manchester City's enemies
During that remarkable year, the Catalan side secured titles in La Liga, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup, Champions League, and Club World Cup.
He said: “As much as you win, they want you to fail. More than ever. I felt then when we won the sextuple in Barcelona.
“It’s normal. They don’t want (us to win). In these 14-15 years what we have won, the titles, is unbelievable.
