Cup competitions are never short on surprises and some top flight sides have already been bundled out, URA, Arua Hill, Marrons and Gaddafi are all already out.
KCCA FC might have eased to a 3-0 win over Regional side KJT in their Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 16 clash but head coach Morley Bykwaso is convinced there are no easy games in the Cup competition.
The Kasasiro Boys dominated from the word go and found themselves in the lead when Rogers Mato rushed onto a miscued Allan Okello shot to find the back of the net for the opener at the Coffee Grounds in Bugolobi Monday afternoon.
The Startimes Uganda Premier League leaders went on to win 3-0, Charles Lwanga and Moses Waiswa completing the job with a tap in and a brilliantly executed free-kick respectively.
“I have to thank my players for the work done,” Byekwaso said after the game.
“It wasn’t an easy game, there is no easy game in this tournament,” he added.
KJT certainly had glimpses and looked comfortable on the ball but lacked the quality and experience to trouble the 10-time Cup winners.
Douglas Ddungu’s charges failed to capitalise when centre back Geoffrey Wasswa was sent off and later had their goalkeeper Erick Ssali and defender Najib Muwonge shown marching orders.
“What you need to do is build trust, confidence and hard work throughout your training sessions,” Byekwaso said.
“I’m so happy with what the boys did to see that we qualify to go to the next stage.”

KCCA will also have it in mind that they did not go past the Round of 32 last season after falling to Bright Stars at Lugogo.
For now, however, all focus will turn to the return of the UPL and KCCA have their first game against Wakiso Giants on Thursday.
