Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has predicted the winners of the 2024-25 Premier League season.
Paul Scholes is backing Arsenal to dethrone Manchester City as Premier League champions this season.
The former England and Manchester United midfielder shared his expert verdict on beIN Sports, and it's clear he's impressed with Mikel Arteta's progress at the Emirates.
Paul Scholes backs Arsenal to win Premier League
"I think the Premier League favourites will be the same as last year. I think City will be favourites, closely followed by Arsenal," Scholes said.
The ex-United man wants it to be known that this is not just a suggestion based on a hunch, he really believes the Gunners could do it.
He added: "I have said a few times that I expect Arsenal to be the team to win it this year.
"I think they have progressed over the last couple of years with Mikel Arteta, especially. I just think this year is the time where they are ready to win it."
Arsenal and Manchester City look poised to challenge each other again, and both sides have started the season with two wins out of two.
