Inter’s Lautaro Martinez believes that UEFA Champions League opponents Manchester City should be afraid of the Nerazzuri ahead of the cup final
After winning the World Cup with Argentina in the 2022 tournament in Qatar, Inter’s Lautaro Martinez has likened the mood in the Nerazzurri camp ahead of the UEFA Champions League final to the Albiceleste team and believes Manchester City should be worried about facing them.

Lautaro Martinez had a difficult World Cup, losing his place to Julian Alvarez after the first game, but Argentina went on to win their first title since 1986.
The Inter forward was grateful for the experience nevertheless as it adds to his ongoing success story with the Nerazzurri.
Speaking ahead of the Champions League final, Lautaro Martinez said, “I am going through a wonderful period of my career and always said that when I arrived at Inter, I would try to achieve the maximum.”

Despite the success with Inter, the Argentine forward believes that the club can take things even further when they play against Manchester City in the UCL final.
“We won many trophies that had been missing from this club for many years, but now there is this dream and that final push,” Lautaro Martinez said, before continuing, “It is the most important game in our club careers.”
Inter could become the first Italian team to lift the Champions League since they also won it in 2010, however unlike that final, they find themselves coming into this one as underdogs.
Lautaro Martinez has not allowed that scare him however, as he says the belief in the team is similar to that in the Argentine squad that lifted the World Cup, which gives him confidence going into the final against Manchester City.
He said, “I know that sometimes you believe and sometimes you don’t. On international duty, many things happened before we won the World Cup.
“We’ve got to believe, to be ourselves and face City with courage, because they too ought to be worried about facing us.”
Inter have already overcome Porto, Benfica and AC Milan on their way to the final, and although they face their toughest test yet, Lautaro Martinez appears confident that they can scale the final hurdle.
