Harambee Stars winger Timothy Ouma was able to get some gametime under his belt for Elfsborg as the Swedish outfit brushed aside Varberg Bois 6-1 with six different players getting on the scoresheet.

Elfsborg would find the first goal as soon as the third minute through Gottfrid Rapp who shot just outside the penalty area. The shot was blocked but rebounded back before poking  past two Varberg defenders and was the first to meet it, slotting it into the back of the net.

They doubled their lead in the 33rd minute through  Michael Baidoo  who looked up to see where Varberg keeper Gottfrid Rapp positioned himself before slotting the ball home..

Elfsborg would soon go three to the good just before the break when Johan Larsson’s freekick found  Buhari Ibrahim who headed into the back of the net.

Just after the break, Emmanuel Boateng hit a nice pass that found Sveinn Gudjohnsen before the Icelander coolly slotted the ball wide into the far corner from his position on the right inside the penalty area to make it four.

In the 64th minute, Varberg won a penalty after Gustav Henriksson brought down an opponent, reducing the deficit momentarily.

Jack Cooper-Love made it five for the hosts before Jeppe Okkels set the game to match for Elsborg .

The midfielder has so far, played four competitive games for Efsborg since signing for the club in August 2022. All of them however, have been as a sub. The teenage prodigy will be hoping to use games like this to stake his claim as a first team regular in future.

Harambee Stars head coach Engin Firat has described him as "a player with a big future">
