The forward scored the only goal in Bendel Insurance's 1-0 victory at Kwara United at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday.
Joint top-scorer of the 2023 NPFL Imade Osarenkhoe has reacted to scoring for the third consecutive time in the league, following Bendel Insurance's campaign in the Nigerian top flight.
Imade scored his third goal of the season - and only goal - in Bendel Insurance's 1-0 victory at Kwara United at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday.
The victory saw the Benin Arsenal maintain their place at the top of Group A with nine points after three games, despite only being newcomers to the top flight.
Imade focused on team performance than self
Reacting to the victory, the lanky and athletic forward reiterated that he had his mind on his team's performance more than he would on being the league's top scorer.
"I feel very happy, basically, for winning the game alone, I feel very happy.
"Personally, for getting on the scoresheet again, that's something I am very happy about. It's something that's going to boost my career and my confidence for the next game.
"The main goal is for us to remain in the top-flight league, and we're still very much focused on that. You could see in the game, I actually lost a chance which I was not happy about, myself.
"I am a work in progress, I don't think I am fit for that credit (to win the top scorer award), so I am actually working on myself. Each game, we [Bendel Insurance] will take one after the other."
Bendel Insurance to play Remo next
After game week 3, the Premier League player-wannabe leads the goalscorers' chart with three goals alongside Plateau United's centre-back Emmanuel Ifeanyi Onyebuchi.
Bendel Insurance will on game week four, turn their attention to Remo Stars who they will play at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin in what should be a top-of-the-table clash on January 28.
